Brief
iDevices approached us to launch their groundbreaking new “Instinct” device, the first in-wall light switch that features Amazon Alexa built in.
Challenge
Since iDevices is owned by Hubbell Inc., one of the oldest lighting manufacturers in America, we were asked to explore the evolution of the light switch while also incorporating the Instinct in a new, contemporary setting. All this, while also weaving in the narrative of a family and various product usages.
Solution
We created a concept that showcased the evolution of the light switch over the course of a hundred years, and we used that visual to seamless blend the product into present day. That allowed us to show a long form narrative while also illustrating the power of the device.
